What is the BlackMoon Wear Original Illustrations Collection?

The Original Illustrations Collection features artwork created specifically for BlackMoon Wear. These designs are not tied to an existing franchise or property. They give us room to experiment with characters, visual storytelling, humor, mythology, fantasy, and whatever strange idea refuses to leave the sketchbook.

Are these designs exclusive to BlackMoon Wear?

Yes. The artwork in this collection is developed as part of BlackMoon Wear’s own creative catalog rather than adapted from an existing fandom or licensed property.

How are the illustrations created?

Each design begins with an idea and is developed through research, concept exploration, sketching, digital illustration, and refinement. Different pieces may use different techniques, but the goal is always the same: create artwork that feels intentional rather than mass-produced.

Why are the styles different from one design to another?

Original work gives us room to experiment. Some illustrations lean toward anime, comics, retro graphics, fantasy, Japanese-inspired composition, or traditional poster design. The collection is connected by the BlackMoon Wear approach rather than one required visual style.

Will more original artwork be added?

Yes. Original Illustrations is an evolving collection. New characters, concepts, and visual experiments will be added as they are developed and reach a point where we are satisfied with the finished design.

For us, comics and anime have never been something you simply watch, read, and move on from. The characters, worlds, symbols, and stories become part of the way fans communicate with one another.

That is what this collection is built around. Rather than simply reproducing familiar imagery, we approach fandom through illustration, composition, symbolism, and design. Some references are immediate. Others are deliberately subtle enough that another fan has to know what they are looking at.

The result is apparel designed to work beyond the convention floor or comic shop. It is artwork made by a fan, designed to be worn as part of everyday life.
